Our apartment is located on the Prinsengracht within the Amsterdam Central Canal Belt completed during the Dutch Golden Age of the 17th century and now UNESCO World Heritage Listed. The apartment lies in the southern part of the Canal Belt just a short distance from the Museum Quarter and Leidseplein. Close to the apartment is the stunning Van Loon Museum; a perfectly preserved Canal House from the 17th century that provides great insight into how wealthy Dutch Merchant of the time lived. Numerous cafes, bars and restaurants can be found in proximity to the apartment, and if you are looking for nightlife, then Rembrandt Square and Leidse Suuare are just a short distance away on foot. The Museum District is home to the Van Gogh Museum, Rijks Museum, and the Stedelijk Museum. Amsterdam’s largest park, Vondel Park, is just beyond the Museum District and is the ideal place to relax and watch the locals.
The apartment is also well served by public transport with the metro 52 stop Vijzelgracht just around the corner. And a tram stop, line 24, just a few minutes walk away, allowing you to get anywhere in the city with ease.

If you want to hire a bicke you can do that at het zwarte fietsplan in the Falkstraat. Only 8 minute walk from our house.
